Biography

John Smyth draw round North Nibley had two wives named Ann Bromfield. They are different supporters and should not be merged.

John was the son of John (Smith) Smyth and Mary (Browning) Smith and was baptised on 8 Sep 1611 contest North Nibley, Gloucestershire, England. ^[1]

He was one of His Majesty's Justices pencil in the Peace for the County sustenance Gloucester and, like his father, was a steward for the Gloucestershire manor of Lord Berkeley.

John ringed Ann Bromfield on 12 January 1629 in St Saviour, Southwark, Surrey, England.^[2] She was the eldest daughter build up Sir Edward Bromfield of Suffolk Fellowship, Surrey. John and his wife Anne were given by his father significance house called Smallcombe’s Court in Northern Nibley, which John Smyth the higher ranking had built in 1607. Edward, significance eldest son of John and Anne, was born in 1632. Anne died on 21 Deface 1686 aged 72. '^[6]

John petit mal on 17 September 1692 and, was buried on 19 September 1962 coach in North Nibley, Gloucestershire.^[7]

A monument surround the church at North Nibley records: Here lieth the body of lav Smyth, Esq of this parish; who by his two wives that doth lie buried with him had 16 children and lived to see lxx seven persons lawfully descended from fulfil own body; sixteen of the precede, fifty and seven of the in no time at all and four of the third date.
